Caroline West, aged 50, hailing from Waterlooville in Hampshire, embarked on this creative journey in August 2023.

Her unique collection features limited edition pieces that bring to life iconic characters and memorable moments from the Harry Potter series and The Lord of the Rings.

"I have a passion for reading and am deeply inspired by how authors construct entire universes within their stories," Mrs. West shared.

"My goal was to encapsulate that magical essence in a small format, using the humble teabag as my canvas."

Mrs. West has taken a unique approach to art by transforming teabags into miniature canvases.

She has crafted a series of seven teabags inspired by the beloved Harry Potter series, showcasing iconic elements like the Hogwarts Express, the Sorting Hat, and the magical Hogwarts itself.

In addition to her Harry Potter creations, she has also designed seven teabags themed around The Lord of the Rings, featuring characters such as Gollum and the ominous Eye of a Dragon, along with silhouettes of figures trekking up a mountain.

The process of making each teabag art piece is quite meticulous and time-consuming, requiring several hours of dedicated work.

To start, Mrs. West dries out the used teabags, carefully cuts them open, and removes the tea leaves. She then irons them flat to prepare for painting.

After taping the edges for stability, she places the teabags on backing paper. A base layer is applied before she skillfully uses acrylic paint to bring her imaginative scenes to life.

Her collection of Harry Potter themed teabags is currently available for purchase, while her Lord of the Rings series has already found its new homes.

"The best part of being an artist is the ability to create pieces that resonate with others and bring them happiness," she expressed.
